About The Academy
The Excel Project Reading Success Academy provides individualized reading instruction designed to meet students at their current reading level.
Using research-based instructional strategies and age-appropriate learning materials, students receive focused instruction that promotes literacy, confidence, and academic growth.
Parents become active partners throughout the learning process as children build the foundational reading skills necessary for long-term success.
About Dr. Faith Walters
Dr. Faith Walters is a permanently certified New York State teacher and retired New York City educator with over 20 years of teaching experience.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Special Education and a Master of Science in Remedial & Developmental Reading from The City College of New York (CCNY).
Throughout her educational career, Dr. Walters has worked with students of varying learning abilities, helping children strengthen their reading skills while building confidence and academic success.
Dr. Walters is also the Founder and President of The Excel Project Online Vocational Training Center and has devoted more than 20 years to leadership, education, mentoring, and community outreach.
